Green Energy and Intelligent Transportation was launched in June 2022.Professor SUN Fengchun, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and a professor at Beijing Institute of Technology, serves as its Editor-in-Chief. Professor XIONG Rui, Director of the National Engineering Research Center for Electric Vehicles and also a professor at Beijing Institute of Technology, is the Executive Editor-in-Chief. The journal has been indexed in major international databases, including SCIE, Ei Compendex, and Scopus. It has been selected for the "China’s Science and Technology Journal Excellence Action Plan Phase II" English Echelon Journal Project, as well as the 2025 Project for Supporting the Construction of High-level International Science and Technology Journals of Beijing (Journal Enhancement). In June 2025, the 2024 Journal Citation Reports (JCR) released by Clarivate Analytics announced an Impact Factor of 16.4 for the journal, ranking the second (2/77) among all journals in the category of Engineering, Transportation Science & Technology.
